Alan Ginsburg

Alan Ginsburg has poured millions of dollars into Orlando - schools, hospitals, Jewish causes and more. Perhaps the new 15-story Ginsburg Tower at Florida Hospital featuring one of the largest emergency departments and cardiac catheterization labs in the country - for which the Ginsburg Family Foundation donated $20 million, one of the largest private donations in Central Florida's history - is his current claim to philanthropic fame. But Ginsburg's generosity seems to know no bounds.

His latest vision is to help students fulfill their spiritual needs while in college. He is envisioning a student village near the University of Central Florida that would be anchored by faith-based student organizations and would include commercial space for restaurants and retail, and even student housing. Ginsburg is prepared to donate the land and his expertise as a developer.

A major donor to UCF already, Ginsburg contributed millions to the new University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Not to be left out, Rollins was a recipient of Ginsburg's generosity as well: he donated several million dollars to its Hamilton Holt School to endow a scholarship fund, promote faculty and curriculum development, and endow a chair in Jewish studies, as well as to the Hillel Foundation for a new student facility.

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ginsburg credits his good fortune to a lot of good luck and good timing in his 40+ years in real estate. He began his career working for companies that developed apartment projects in the Midwest and Florida. After moving to Florida in 1981, he founded The CED Companies, which specializes in building affordable multifamily communities.

Although fairly low-key, Ginsburg is adamant about giving back to the community - a lot and often.

We celebrate our client, Alan Ginsburg, and THE CED Companies.
