Drew Sorrell

Drew Sorrell began his career as a law clerk to Senior United States District Judge John H. Moore, II. After clerking, he practiced in New York City with a large international firm, primarily in the area of litigation. Subsequently, Drew returned to Florida and is now a litigation partner with Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, PA.

Drew’s practice focuses on commercial (including complex eDiscovery issues), employment, and significant tort litigation, as well as related appellate litigation. He has argued in front of the United States Court of Appeal for the Eleventh Circuit, at the federal level, as well as the Fifth District Court of Appeal at the state level. He is admitted to practice before all of the Florida State and Federal Courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the Southern District of New York, the state courts of New York and the District of Columbia courts.

A frequent speaker on the topics of eDiscovery, Technology and Work Place Privacy, and the law related to the Internet, Drew is the head of the firm's eDiscovery team.

Drew is immediate past president of the Orlando Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and is an editor for The Federal Lawyer magazine. Among others, he is also a member of the American Bar Association’s eDiscovery and Digital Evidence Committee, The Sedona Conference Working Group 1, the Florida Bar’s employment law committee and is a Barrister Member of the George C. Young American Inns of Court. Drew is the current co-chair of the Orange County Bar Association's Technology Committee, as well as a member of the Association's Business Law, Intellectual Property Law, Labor and Employment law committees.

Originally from Kissimmee, Florida, Drew earned his law degree, with honors, from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where he was a published member of the Law Review. He earned his MBA, with honors, Beta Gamma Sigma, in 2008 from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. His undergraduate degree is also from Rollins College, cum laude, Pi Sigma Alpha and with honors in his major field of Politics.
