Richard S. Dellinger

Partner and Deputy Chair, Intellectual Property Services Group

Richard Dellinger is partner with Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor and Reed, P.A. Richard is an AV-Rated litigation attorney and his practice includes complex litigation, civil litigation, commercial litigation, business litigation, intellectual property litigation, and federal criminal litigation. He has worked on significant trade secrets theft matters, trademark infringement matters, patent infringement matters, and commercial matters. Richard is the Deputy Chair of the firm's Intellectual Property practice group.

Richard does not only handles large commercial matters, but also provides service to the community through his pro bono efforts with the Bar’s Legal Aid Society. As a pro bono attorney, he advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children; serves as a teen court judge; serves as a community mediator; and provides domestic relations assistance to victims of domestic violence. And, Richard serves as a Board Member to the Orange County Bar’s Legal Aid Society and chairs the Legal Aid Society’s Legislative Affairs Committee.

Richard is very active in the legal community. He is the past President of the Orlando Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the current 11th Circuit Vice President for the Federal Bar Association. He is a member of the Federal Bar Association’s Government Relations Committee and serves as a Vice Chair of the Vice Presidents of the Circuits. He is active with the Federal Court in the Middle District of Florida, serving as a Board Member with the Court’s Historical Society, and a member of the Court's Judicial Relations Committee. He is a member of the Executive Council of the Orange County Bar Association and also serves as a member of the Orange County Bar’s Judicial Relations Committee. Richard is a Barrister Level Member with the Central Florida Inns of Court. He also serves as a Board Member and is the Immediate Past President of the Orange County Bar’s Foundation, a group committed to civics education within the community.

Richard considers himself a general litigation attorney, handling all types of cases in all courts at all levels. He has 14 years of civil litigation experience for small and large businesses and individuals and he also serves by judicial appointment for indigent criminal defendants, as a Criminal Justice Act Panel Attorney in the Middle District of Florida.

Richard is admitted to practice before The Florida Bar and North Carolina Bar, but his practice is focused in Florida. He has earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
