A former Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of SunTrust Bank, Tom Yochum serves as the firm's Director of Business Strategy and Community Services. Having joined the firm in 2005 after his retirement with the bank, Tom is also Chairman of the Board of Seaside National Bank & Trust, headquartered in Orlando, Florida. Tom has more than 38 years of experience in the financial services industry, starting with Florida National Bank in Bartow, Florida in 1968. He joined Barnett Bank of Central Florida in 1970, serving in a variety of roles including six years as Senior Vice President of the parent company (Barnett Bank, Inc) during which time he was actively involved in more than thirty bank acquisitions and consolidations. Tom then returned to Central Florida as CEO of the local affiliate. Barnett was sold in 1998, and joined SunTrust Bank Central Florida in 1998 as its Chairman, CEO and President.
