What is the review structure?
Performance-based reviews are conducted every six months by team partners. Associates meet with team partners and firm management to discuss results of reviews. Daily project-by-project feedback provides the most significant review and training.
Does the firm offer formal training?
Mentoring and new associate training are available. Much of the informal training takes places at the team level on a daily basis. Associates are also given an allowance to cover costs of attending CLE and training seminars.
Are associates encouraged to participate in pro bono activities?
Associates are encouraged to be members of the Orange County Bar Association which requires that they agree to take two pro bono cases a year. Associates are also encouraged to become involved as committee or board members on non-profit, religious, arts, cultural, sports, or business organizations in town.
