Leadership

A Message from William T. Dymond, Jr.
President, CEO and Managing Partner
We have steadily grown and built our practice over the past 42 years based on our clients' needs, and this year is no exception. Despite the challenges in the current environment, we have made a number of recent positive changes that I want to share with you – changes that have already begun to benefit our clients.
- Our tax and intellectual property practices have expanded in response to our clients’ needs for sophisticated federal tax planning and compliance matters, as well as the protection of their intellectual property assets.
- To address the unwieldy growth of electronically stored information and the high cost of litigation due to its improper management, the attorneys, records management and technology professionals that comprise our eDiscovery team are proactively advising clients on how to track, keep and manage electronic records with legally defensible policies and business practices.
- The corporate and securities practice recently received press-worthy mentions for completing three REIT filings within the last two years totaling $7 billion, and our hospitality and leisure practice is keeping active with the construction and acquisition of high profile hotels, resorts, golf courses and amusement parks around the country.
- Our international practice continues to grow alongside our clients that have expanded overseas. In addition, a number of our clients are foreign-based businesses with interests in the United States.
- While one of our attorneys earned his LEED Green Associate accreditation by the Green Building Certification Institute, we have improved our own environmental footprint, implementing policies and procedures that encourage environmental sustainability. We are the first law firm to be a member of Orange County, Florida’s “Kilowatt Crackdown” program, a program developed by the local government to encourage energy conservation among businesses throughout its jurisdiction.
- What else is new? Terry Navin has joined us from a large, multi-office law firm based in Milwaukee as our Chief Operating Officer. Terry will oversee the firm's business operations as we continually strive to serve our clients efficiently and effectively.
In addition to these developments, we continue to receive widespread external recognitions in the areas of real estate, construction, litigation and more. As of this writing we have 115 lawyers advising clients in nearly every aspect of business.
Now that you’re here, on our newly revamped website, we hope you are finding lots of information about our attorneys and our practices, as well as articles and presentations on topics that matter to you and your business.
We are confident that many opportunities lie ahead, and we will continue to grow and develop strategically, to ensure the success of our clients.
