Aaron Gorovitz Wins Father of the Year Award
Orlando, FL –Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed Partner Aaron Gorovitz was honored with the “2011 Father of the Year” award by the Father’s Day Council, a not-for-profit membership association benefiting the American Diabetes Association on Friday, June 17 at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, Florida. The award identifies fathers who have demonstrated the ability to balance their personal lives, to serve as role models for their children, and to help make a positive difference in their community. Mr. Gorovitz was one of three men to receive this award.
At the firm, Mr. Gorovitz focuses his legal practice on large and complex commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate projects throughout Central Florida for the past 25 years. His allegiance to clients is one of his defining characteristics as a lawyer. With his family, too, Mr. Gorovitz prioritizes the needs of his children above his own, helping his kids grow as individuals to achieve their own successes. Mr. Gorovitz credits his parents as his role models.
Originally from New Jersey, Mr. Gorovitz and his wife, Liz, settled in Florida when he joined the firm in 1983. With support and encouragement from his philanthropic firm, and augmented by a loving and caring circle of friends, Mr. Gorovitz immersed himself in community affairs. Eventually, he took on leadership roles in the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando, at the Jewish National Fund, in Central Florida Partnership, and the Community Foundation of Central Florida.
The growth of Aaron's adopted home of Orlando has been instrumental in the success of his law practice; he is honored to give back to the community that has contributed to his accomplishments. But mostly, it's his wife, Liz, and three fabulous children, Marisa, Jeremy, and Sam, to whom he is grateful.
