Orlando, FL – Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A. is pleased to announce that Shareholder Brendan Lynch will serve as a panelist during a program titled “Urbanization and Gentrification: Tools to Increase Equity While Revitalizing City Centers“ at the 30th Annual RPTE Spring Symposia, which is hosted by the American Bar Association. Lynch will participate on this panel with Thomas Hawkins and Nancy Rich. Karla Chaffee will serve as the moderator. The following topics will be addressed:
How do zoning strategies contribute to or alleviate gentrification?
What impacts are associated with property tax assessments?
What infrastructure and environmental issues hamper redevelopment and what type of incentives are required to advance equitable growth?
The symposia will be held at The Four Seasons Resort in Orlando, FL on May 10th and 11th, 2018. CLE credits will be available.
Lynch represents private landowners in issues of eminent domain and condemnation, as well as ad valorem tax appeals (property taxes). He handles all levels of property tax appeals throughout the state of Florida, including assessment reviews, direct negotiations with county property appraisers, appeals to the Value Adjustment Board, and trial and appellate court proceedings. He represents owners of a wide array of property types, including apartment projects, condominiums, commercial strip centers, hotels, residences, and other retail buildings. Lynch received his law degree from George Mason University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. In addition to serving on the board of directors for the United Arts of Central Florida, he is a Guardian ad Litem for the Legal Aid Society. Lynch is the past president of the Orange County Teen Court Advisory board, and past president of the board of directors of the Adult Literacy League.
