Lowndes is proud to announce that litigation attorney Jennifer R. Dixon has achieved board certification in Appellate Practice from The Florida Bar. Board Certification is the highest level of evaluation by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification.
Only 7% of eligible Florida bar members have earned board certification, which requires lawyers to pass a comprehensive examination in a specialty field and undergo a rigorous peer-review process that assesses competence in a specialty field, as well as professionalism and ethics in the practice of law.
A shareholder in the firm’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group, Dixon handles civil, family law, and probate appeals on behalf of litigants and amicus curiae. She has successfully defended judgments and obtained reversals in both state and federal appellate courts. She also handles administrative appeals of state agency decisions before the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings.
In addition to her specialized appellate work, Dixon is an experienced and versatile civil litigator and a Florida Supreme Court-certified civil and appellate mediator. Whether in the courtroom or at the settlement table, Dixon is a zealous advocate who works tirelessly on behalf of her clients, who represent a wide variety of industries, including real estate, retail, hospitality, construction, themed entertainment, healthcare and outdoor advertising.
