Orlando, FL – Lowndes is pleased to welcome Clay Shorrock as an attorney in the firm’s Life Sciences and Intellectual Property Groups. Mr. Shorrock relocated to Orlando from New York, where he was General Counsel and Intellectual Property Counsel to a NASDAQ-listed biotechnology company for several years. Previously, he was in private practice at several well-known New York and New Jersey-based law firms where he represented clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to nascent high-tech start-ups.
In addition to his focus on intellectual property and business transactions, Mr. Shorrock is a registered patent attorney and has prosecuted patents in biological, supply chain, mechanical, communications and software arts. He also focuses his practice on corporate law and governance, complex commercial transactions, corporate securities work and mergers and acquisitions.
“Clay’s accomplished background in the biotechnology industry, coupled with his business and technical experience, will further enhance our growing Life Sciences Group,” said William T. Dymond, Jr., president and CEO of Lowndes. “His addition represents our strategic commitment to providing clients with multi-dimensional counsel who can successfully navigate complex life sciences matters.”
