January 21, 2021

Lowndes CEO and President William T. Dymond, Jr., discussed Orlando’s future growth with Florida Trend for the publication’s special Community Portrait section, entitled “The Orlando Region’s ‘Next Chapter of Growth.’” Dymond, immediate past board chair of the Orlando Economic Partnership, commented on how local leaders and organizations are working together to further economic prosperity within the region and address issues of diversity, equity and inclusion.

“We really have the ability to, across all sectors of our economy, lift people up,” said Dymond. “And if we’re successful in creating a rising tide, then no matter where you are in the economic strata, you’ll benefit. And our community will be stronger."

Dymond also noted the changing role of education institutions within the local labor market, saying, “There’s a whole other dynamic to what today’s workforce needs are.”
