Orlando, FL -- Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A. is pleased to announce that shareholder Melody B. Lynch has been named a 2017 Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) National Philanthropy Day Emerging Leader. National Philanthropy Day is an event that publicly recognizes the outstanding individuals, corporations and fundraising professionals in Central Florida who have positively impacted the community through service and philanthropy. Each year, the AFP honors donors, volunteers, professionals and organizations whose gifts of time, expertise and resources contribute significantly to the quality of life in our communities. The “emerging leaders” category honors individuals, up to the age of 40, who are making an exceptional impact in the independent sector.

“Melody brings a tremendous passion to the Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) through her work as a guardian-at-litem,” said Tara Hormel, Executive Director at CHS. “She also brings her creativity and focus on the donor side as the chair of our Donor Stewardship Committee. We are thrilled for Melody who is receiving this honor and feel it is very well deserved.”

She is the president of the Orange County Bar Association Legal Aid Society’s Board of Directors, the governing body for the Legal Aid Society that assists low income families in Central Florida.
