Take a Leap

Nearly half of our lawyers are laterals – even name partner Bill Doster, who was the very first lateral recruited by John Lowndes himself shortly after founding the firm in 1969 – and slightly more than half of our lawyers are “home grown” having been here for 10-20-30+ years. Frankly, it doesn’t really matter how we got here. “The most valuable assets in a law firm are its people, the intellectual capital they possess and the culture they create,” says Brendan Lynch, Chair of the Recruiting Committee. We are connected by our commitment to clients, to each other, and to our community.

Coming from the State Attorney’s office, I already knew of the firm’s reputation – not just for being at the forefront of business and civil law but also in the community at large. I was mentored by a number of the partners and the collegiality within the entire firm was apparent. There’s a shared sense of commitment to excellence here which bridges different practice areas and serves to unite the attorneys practicing here in a common mission.” – Michael Gibbons
