Laura Walda Appointed to the City of Winter Park Planning and Zoning Board
Lowndes is pleased to announce that Shareholder Laura M. Walda has been appointed to the City of Winter Park Planning and Zoning Board, with her term ending in 2020. The Planning & Zoning Board reviews and makes a recommendation on all ordinances, subdivisions and major building plans which effect the development and use of land in the City of Winter Park.
At the firm, Walda serves as a senior associate and she focuses her legal practice on commercial real estate and finance law. In this role, she concentrates on contract and lease negotiation and drafting, real estate acquisitions, financing and review of title insurance matters. She also works in commercial litigation, focusing on title insurance matters, landlord/tenant disputes and banking litigation. Walda is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association, and she devotes much of her time as a Guardian Ad Litem. Walda received her law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, cum laude. She also holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. She received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University, high distinction. Walda is a resident of Winter Park, Florida.
