Jonathan Huels Reappointed to City of Orlando Municipal Planning Board by Mayor Dyer
Orlando, FL – Lowndes is pleased to announce that attorney Jonathan Huels has been reappointed to the City of Orlando Municipal Planning Board (MPB) for another two year term by Mayor Buddy Dyer. The MPB is an advisory board to City Council comprised of citizen members who voluntarily and without compensation devote their time and talents to a variety of zoning and land development issues in the community. As vice-chairman of the board, Huels will assist with the Growth Management Program in reviewing Growth Management Plan Amendments, rezonings, conditional use permits and plats as well as recommending zoning and other land development regulations and coordinating land development and regulatory functions of other City boards by consolidating recommendations to City Council.
Huels has a broad background in environmental law, land use and zoning. He works with local governments and other federal and state regulatory authorities to address the needs of his clients related to environmental permitting and compliance, brownfields, petroleum and hazardous waste assessment and remediation, zoning, comprehensive plans, concurrency, Developments of Regional Impact (DRI’s), golf course and other types of property redevelopment, due diligence, and property rights. Huels has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in environmental science and a law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
