Lowndes’ Crystal Buit Becomes Founding Member of American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators (AACFL) Orlando Chapter
Lowndes is pleased to announce that Crystal Buit, an attorney in the firm’s Marital & Family Law practice, recently joined with attorneys from across Central Florida to found the American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators (AACFL) Orlando Chapter. The organization is dedicated to enhancing the legal profession through advanced financial education and solving a growing problem in the divorce world – a rapidly changing economy and client demand for financially savvy attorneys.
Buit is Of Counsel in the firm’s Orlando office and devotes her practice to representing clients in a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child support, child custody, alimony and family law litigation involving complex financial and parenting issues. She also advises clients on the formation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
Trained in the interdisciplinary model of collaborative family law, Buit believes that most couples and families can benefit from avoiding lengthy courtroom battles by resolving conflicts through alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation, arbitration, and collaborative law.
Buit earned her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from the University of Central Florida and her law degree magna cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
