|Press Release
Lowndes

Lowndes successfully obtained a complete defense verdict in favor of the founder of a pharmaceutical company following a two-week jury trial in Orange County Business Court. After six years of litigation, the jury rejected the claims of the plaintiffs, a group of local investors seeking more than $3.5 million in damages.

The claims included fraud in the inducement and breach of oral contract relating to the purchase of stock in a start-up company developing a new drug for the treatment of infant jaundice.

Judge John Jordan presided over the trial which saw the jury return its verdict in favor of the defense after only brief deliberations.

The Lowndes team was led by Greg McNeill, Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department, who worked with co-counsel from  the law firm of Williams Parker of Sarasota.
