Horton-Shane

Overview

Shane Horton is an attorney in the firm’s Real Estate Department where he focuses on real estate transactions, real estate development and commercial leasing. He assists a wide range of clients with the acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing of commercial real estate in the retail, hospitality and industrial industries.

In addition to his real estate practice, Shane works with the firm's Sports and Entertainment Group on contract negotiations, endorsement contracts, name and image licensing agreements, and other related matters. He also has experience handling a variety of legal matters related to construction law, creditors rights, commercial litigation and title insurance.

Prior to attending law school, Shane was a high school history teacher and basketball coach. A "double Gator," Shane earned his juris doctor cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Florida.

During law school, he was a member of The Florida Moot Court Team and the Journal of Technology Law & Policy. He also served as a summer law clerk for both the United States District Court for The Southern District of Florida and Lowndes. 

When not in the office, Shane enjoys basketball, coaching, and cheering on the Florida Gators football team.
