Walda and O'Brien Named Shareholders at Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed
Orlando, FL - Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A. is pleased to announce that the firm has promoted Laura Walda and Jim O’Brien to shareholders of the firm, effectively February 1, 2018.
Walda works primarily in the firm’s commercial real estate practice and she focuses on contract and lease negotiation and drafting, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, negotiation and structuring of credit facilities and review of title insurance matters. She also has experience in commercial litigation focusing on title insurance matters, landlord/tenant disputes and banking litigation. Walda, who served most recently as a senior associate, has received her law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. She also holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs and her undergraduate degree from Indiana University. Walda works in the firm’s Orlando office.
O'Brien, who works in the firm’s Melbourne office, represents clients in the areas of technology products and services, aviation, health care, real estate development and construction, restaurant services, food distribution, entrepreneurial business, as well as in professional businesses and associations. O'Brien also has significant experience in global and domestic purchasing and supply chain agreements in the technology and aviation sectors. His practice focuses on business and contract issues, negotiation, transactional matters, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. Additionally, O'Brien represents entrepreneurial and startup businesses, and he handles entity formation and ownership agreements, commercial exploitation of proprietary concepts and products, domestic and international contracts and business transactions, corporate finance matters, contractual issues, and employment matters including non-competition and restrictive covenants. O’Brien has received his law degree from the Florida State University College of Law and his undergraduate degree from University of Central Florida.
